An assesse has filed his income tax return through online mode (without digitally signing it) for FY 11-12 for claiming refund. He has not yet sent the "Acknowledgement" to Bangalore processing centre ITO.
It has now come to his notice that the bank account mentioned in the .xml uploaded was incorrect.
what should be done now?
1. should a "revised" return be uploaded. but the acknowledgement has not been sent to bangalore, how can he consider it as "revised return"? OR
2. should he simply upload the .xml again and treat this as original and send the acknowledgement of this to bangalore. In this case can two "original" .xml be uploaded for the same AY?
He doesn't want to file the return through offline mode.
