Can we file Income tax return for the year 2007-08 before 31.12.2010 of a salaried employee?

Since the time is over for on time return as well as belated return, so cannot file now

For filing Belated return, the cut off date is 1 year from the relevant assessment year. The relevant Assessment Year in your case is 2008-09. So the last date for filing belated return is 31/3/2010. So it is not possible to file belated return. However Income tax department will send an intimation on filing the return for the relevant year. On receiving the intimation act accordingly.
