Income tax refund

This query is : Resolved

30 December 2011 I had filed an online return of income having refund status. The central processing centre , Income tax Deptt, Bangalore has intimated that the refund was not processed by them and I should contact my jurisdiction officer. I had filed income tax return based on the jurisdiction based on my employer name. The jurisdiction based on my residential area is different. The income tax website shows my jurisdiction based on my PAN number (residential area). Where should i file an application for further processing of refund?

30 December 2011 You say that you have filed an ONLINE returm. In that case, you must have received an intimation from CPC Bangalore.

Is there refund in the intimation?

30 December 2011 Contact the jurisdictional range officer as shown on income tax indiaefiling website.

05 January 2012 The communication from CPC was they are unable to process the return and the case has been transferred to the Jurisdictional assessing officer.

The jurisdictional assessing officer as per income tax website is based on PAN. I filed the return in the assessing ward based on employer name. If i approach the former, won't he direct me to the later stating that the return has been filed with the later and henceforth contact them for the return.
