whether longterm capital loss on redemption of mutual fund is adjustable with long term capital gain on fmp of mf during the year under same assessment year

Yes, it is very much possible.

If the mutual fund income was exempt u/s 10(38), then the loss on the transfer of such fund is not adjustable anywhere. Thus it will be a dead loss.
