28 July 2024 When your IEC (Import Export Code) application is found deficient, you need to address specific issues mentioned in the rejection message. Here’s a breakdown of what each point means and how you can address them:

### **1. **Application is not in revised ANF 2A:**

- **Explanation:** ANF 2A is the application form for obtaining an IEC, and it may have been updated or revised. You need to submit the application using the latest version of this form.
- **Action Required:** Download the revised ANF 2A form from the DGFT website and complete it. Ensure that all sections are filled out accurately. You can usually find this form under the "Forms" or "Download" section on the DGFT website.

### **2. **Self-certified copy of documentary proof for service provider not furnished:**

- **Explanation:** This means that you have not provided the necessary proof or documentation related to the service provider you used for obtaining the IEC. This could include documents from the service provider who assisted you in preparing and filing the IEC application.
- **Action Required:** Provide self-certified copies of documents related to the service provider. This could include:
- **Service Agreement or Invoice:** A copy of the service agreement or invoice from the service provider.
- **Certificate of Incorporation/Business Registration:** Proof that the service provider is a registered business or entity.
- **Proof of Payment:** Any payment receipts or bank statements showing the payment to the service provider.

**Self-Certification:** To self-certify, you need to sign and date each copy, declaring that it is a true and accurate copy of the original document.

### **3. **Self-addressed envelope with stamp of Rs. 30/-:**

- **Explanation:** You need to provide a self-addressed envelope with a stamp value of Rs. 30/- to facilitate the return of documents or correspondence.
- **Action Required:** Prepare an envelope addressed to yourself, affix a postage stamp of Rs. 30/- on it, and include it in the package with your hard copy application.

### **4. **Submit hard copy along with all supporting documents duly self-certified all pages:**

- **Explanation:** You need to submit a physical copy of your IEC application along with all required supporting documents. Each page of the supporting documents should be self-certified.
- **Action Required:** Print out the completed revised ANF 2A application form and all supporting documents. Self-certify each page of these documents by signing and dating them.

### **Sample Checklist and Format for Submission:**

1. **Completed Revised ANF 2A Form:** Ensure all fields are filled in accordance with the revised form.
2. **Self-Certified Supporting Documents:**
- **Service Provider’s Proof:** Copies of service provider’s documents (invoice, certificate of incorporation).
- **Any Other Supporting Documents:** As required by the IEC application process.
3. **Self-Addressed Envelope:** Addressed to yourself with Rs. 30/- stamp.
4. **Cover Letter (Optional):** A brief cover letter explaining that you are submitting the revised application and addressing the deficiencies mentioned. Here’s a simple format:

```
