Whether any individual can claim hra rent deduction for first six months of the year and next six months house loan interest rebate after getting possession.

22 January 2014 Yes. an individual can claim both. The interest repayment upto the date of construction/possession can only be claimed in five equal instalments in the financial year in which construction is complete and house is ready to use.And HRA cant not be claimed post-construction of the house..

If someone claimed HRA rent deductions and HBA interest for full year can eligible for both reabtes.
