How to rectify the wrong invoice made

19 April 2018 Dear Sir,
We made one sales invoice on 01/02/18 @ 250 but actual value is Rs.1,000.
To rectify the mistake Party insist us to raise credit note for Rs.250 and want a new invoice in current date for Rs.1000.
Please give the suggestion as early as possible.
