WHAT ARE THE WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN INCREASE THE FREE SPACE OF HARD DISK? I HAVE TRIED THE FOLLOWING 1.DISK DEFRAGMENTATION 2. DISK CLEAN UP 3. REMOVING UNUSED INSTALLED PROGRAMS BUT THE FREE SPACE ON THE C-DRIVE IS 79% WHICH EARLIER USED TO 84%. I HAVE NOT STORED ANYTHING ON THE C-DRIVE APART FROM THE OS INSTALLED BY THE VENDOR. ALL OTHER DATA IS STORED IN D & E DRIVES. PLEASE HELP ME........

Do not play with C:/...
U can uninstall unwanted software which will free ur C:/ ka space. Also it will help in increasing the speed....

I HAVE ALREADY UNINSTALLED UNWANTED PROGRAMS. ON THE C DRIVE I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN WINDOWS XP-OS PROVIDED BY THE VENDOR.
BUT THE FREE SPACE IS STILL NOT INCREASING, AS OF NOW I HAVE 31GB OF FREE SPACE OUT OF 40GB ON C DRIVE.

There are programme files & some tsoftwares u have installed with full features

You can get that space back by formatting and installing new softwares.
