House rent exemption

12 December 2012 I work in a Pvt Ltd company.
Salaray Break up:
1.Basic
2.HRA
3.Convenience Allownce
4.City Compensatory Allowance
5.Special Allowance
I reside in Rented House in Kolkata
I want to know for exemption of house rent
if I calculate

a)Rent Paid-10% of Salary

Here salary means in my case which one is applicable:
a)Only Basic
or some thing Else?
I dont have provident fund in company nor receive Dearnes Aloowance.

13 December 2012 Only basic since you do not have Dearness allowance(if terms of employment so provide) and commission based on a fixed percentage of turnover.
