12 March 2013 if any employee is getting HRA from his employer as a part of salary package but he is having his ow0n house. can he claim exemption u/s 10(13) of income tax act?

13 March 2013 One of the criteria to claim HRA exemption is that person should be paying the rent.

Yes, if has occupied any house on rent he can claim the benefit.
