For claiming hostel rebate of Rs.300 P.M.per child(max for 2 child) ,Is there any condition of dependency i.e.this rebate will be given to only those child who are dependent,if rebate is based on dependency then what is the maximum age of dependency in income tax

No case of dependency or independent. Rs.300p.m is allownce allowd as deductn frm hostel allowance
