If employee has purchased Home in Mumbai and also living in rented home in Mumbai,
How HRA and /or the home loan will get tax exempt. Same case if home he has purchased is in Pune.

No. if staying same City, you cannot claim HRA & Housing interest benefit both. unless you show the rental income.
