Hi I applied for a foreign national PAN card through NSDL website and sent a copy of physical documents through post. I received an email stating 'Acknowledgement receipt has not been signed by the applicant. We request you to Kindly submit specimen signature of the Applicant on a separate paper.' I signed in an A4 size paper and mentioned my acknowledgement number as well. Yesterday I received the same email again. My query is How do I correctly submit my specimen signature?

To correctly submit your specimen signature for your foreign national PAN card application, follow these steps:
1. **Format and Size**: - Use an A4 size plain white paper. - Ensure your signature is clear and within the designated space on the paper.
2. **Information to Include**: - Write your Acknowledgement Number clearly on the paper where you are providing your specimen signature. - Include any other requested information, such as your name and application details.
3. **Signing the Paper**: - Sign the paper using a dark blue or black ink pen. - Your signature should match the signature you provided in your PAN application form and other official documents.
4. **Submission Method**: - Scan the signed paper to create a digital copy. - Ensure the scan is clear and legible. - Save the scanned copy in a common format like PDF or JPEG.
5. **Resubmission**: - Once you have the scanned copy, log in to your PAN card application portal (NSDL website). - Look for an option to upload documents or send an email directly to the designated contact provided in the email you received. - Attach the scanned copy of the signed paper with your specimen signature. - In the email or upload description, mention that this is a resubmission as per their request and include your Acknowledgement Number.
6. **Follow-Up**: - After submitting, monitor your email for any further instructions or confirmation from NSDL regarding the acceptance of your specimen signature.
By following these steps, you ensure that your specimen signature submission meets the requirements set by NSDL for processing your foreign national PAN card application. If you continue to face issues or receive repeated requests, contacting NSDL support directly via email or phone might be necessary to resolve the matter promptly.
