1. dont try to cram things...understand the basic accounting principals
2. practice as much as you can..even in questions where journal entries are not asked for, prepare the entries first...this will ensure that you speed up your skills and get stronger on accounting logics..

Work with a audit firm for some time. . . Effective accountant will keep AS issued by ICAI in mind when passing accounting entries. . . As i suggested...best method to get expertise is join in audit firm along with a motive to learn
