gratuity eligibility

23 November 2010 Dear Sir,

I am working in Partnership Firm, and I have completed 5 Years of service in this company.
i would like to know that am i eligible for gratuity. if yes how i have to calculate the gratuity amount. is there any labor law relates to gratuity.

23 November 2010 Gratuity is calculated as follows :

(Basic salary+HRA)Last salary x 15/26 x No. of Years of Completed Service or part thereof in excess of 6 months.

Please refer Gratuity Act,1972 for detailed study.
