Goodwill is an intangible asset which the company earns with good customer service, good clientale, creditworthiness and reputation in the society. Goodwill cannnot be measured in monetary terms expect in the case of purchase of business where it is calculated as the excess of the amount paid over the value of assets & liabilities of the company.
