06 November 2012 An firm sales the goods and also charges transportation charges. the total transportation exceeds 10 lac in an year.
Is such applicable to service tax. Is he required to take registration?

06 November 2012 Not at all. Transporation of goods specifically exempted from service tax except that provided by GTA. So no service tax.
