What is the procedure for appointment of GMCS faculty ?

25 July 2024 To become a faculty at GMCS (General Management and Communication Skills) conducted by NIRC (Northern India Regional Council) of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), you would typically need to follow these steps:

1. **Qualifications and Experience**: Ensure you meet the qualifications and experience required by ICAI for faculty members. Typically, this would include having a certain number of years of relevant industry experience and preferably being a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

2. **Contact NIRC**: Reach out to the NIRC office of ICAI. You can find their contact details on the official ICAI website or through regional office listings. Contact them via email or phone to express your interest in becoming a faculty member for GMCS.

3. **Submit Your Profile**: Prepare a detailed profile highlighting your qualifications, professional experience, and specific expertise related to international clients and industry practices. Include any teaching or training experience you may have.

4. **Attend an Interview**: You may be required to attend an interview with the faculty selection committee at NIRC. This interview will assess your suitability as a GMCS faculty member based on your knowledge, communication skills, and ability to teach.

5. **Demonstrate Value**: During the interview or subsequent discussions, emphasize how your international experience can benefit GMCS students and contribute to their understanding of global business practices and industry standards.

6. **Approval and Orientation**: If selected, you will receive approval from NIRC to conduct sessions as a GMCS faculty member. You may also need to undergo an orientation or training session to understand the curriculum, teaching methods, and administrative procedures of GMCS.

7. **Start Teaching**: Once all formalities are completed and you are approved as a faculty member, you can start teaching GMCS sessions at NIRC. Be prepared to engage actively with students, share your knowledge effectively, and adhere to the guidelines and curriculum set by ICAI.

It's advisable to maintain regular communication with NIRC and follow their instructions throughout the process. They will provide you with specific guidance on how to proceed and any additional requirements that may apply.
