Hi Experts,
Is form 16 to be provided by an employer to its employee or its not required anymore ? Since, the form 16 has had to be downloaded from trace site and to be provided to the employee after verifying the correctness of the same.
What will happen in case of employees whose TDS was NIL and they are asking for the same?
Can the employer still provides its own form 16 along with certificate downloaded from trace site ?

1. yes it is compulsory.
2.. where nil TDS, it shall be nil.
