13 May 2008 Is it compulsory that revenue stamp be fixed for payments exceeding Rs 5000/- in cash?
will it be an audit findings if the voucher does not bear revenue stamp?

13 May 2008 yes, under Indian Stamp Act 1899 it is required to pay stamp duty of Rs. 1 through revenue stamp.
