urgent pls..
my final reg date: 12-02-2009.
i was in the process of submitting my May 2014 final exam form today when i got a shock..
do i have to first apply for revalidation and then submit exam form or can apply for revalidation post submitting exam form?
im v tense as hardly few days are left.
also, is the new scheme of revalidation valid only for registrations before 31st dec 2008?

it is applicable to everyone...you need to apply for revalidation and that too immediately..

Facts-
i wish to write May 2014 final exam.
im registered for final w.e.f 12-02-2009.
i havent applied for revalidation of registration. i havent filled up my exam form.
query--
do i need to apply for registration? if yes, upon application, do i need to wait for confirmation/approval letter and then proceed to fill exam form? If yes, im afraid this will be a long wait and i would most likely miss the due date for exam-form submission.
OR
simply apply for revalidation with Rs.500/- DD and immediately proceed to fill my exam for? If yes, what shall i enter in the column "date of revalidation" in exam form?
PLEASE reply asap. im very much tensed.

Hi Anirudh,
as on date of applying for finals, you need to have a valid registration.
"( iii) As decided by the Council, the Registration to the Final Course is valid for a period of five years and the student is required to revalidate the same from the concerned Regional Office on expiry of the said period. Further in order to be eligible for the Examinations, the student must be having a valid Registration number on the date of application to the Examination.Accordingly, please ensure that your registration to Final Course is valid as on date of filling Examination application form. Please visit http://icai.org/new_post.html?post_id=9260 for details."
So immediately apply for revalidation. since it would take time for ICAI to process the application, put the application date as date of validation as normally ICAI validates everything from the date of application itself.
