24 August 2014 Can I file income tax returns for past 6 years from FY 2008-09 to 2013-14 ?

If not then how my tax assessment will be carried out ?

Will there be any penalty for tax evasion by not filing the income tax returns for these periods ?

I am salaried person and form 16 is available for all these period. My salary income is more than 10 lacs.

Please advise.

25 August 2014 suo-moto you can only file for AY 2013-14 and AY 2014-15.

For earlier years, contact the jurisdictional AO

26 August 2014 If I contact jurisdictional AO , what am I expecting reply ?

Will it be tax evasion case or simply allow me to file the return without any penalty ?
