FILING OF E-FORM 32

11 June 2010 An individual was appointed as Director of a Private Company in 2007. Now w.e.f.2010 he is appointed as Chairman of the Board. Do we need to e-file Form 32 again for appointment as Chairman

11 June 2010 YES YOU HAVE TO FILE FORM 32 FOR CHANGE IN DESIGNATION.

11 June 2010 need to know the following:
When you see Form 32, it has the followign fields:
Designation : Where you hv the fields like Director, MD, Nominee, Addl Director, WTD, Alternate, casual
Category : Promoter, Professional, Independent
Whether Chairman, ED or Non ED

So, here the designation of the Director has not changed. He is still Director, so do you need to still file Form 32. Pls. advise

11 June 2010 No need to file form 32.

Chairman is not a statutory or mandatory requirement so not covered in form-32.

However noting of the same in board meeting minutes is must as a good practice.
