i have heard a c.s does not have wide scope in a i.t based company.instead it has scope in manufacturing companies. is it true ? and also let me know how best a c.s be so that he earns greater scope of work and be at the helm ?

IT companies also require the services of a CS.
Comparatively, there is much more to do in manufacturing organisation. But still IT companies have good scope of CS.
Completing CS and keeping oneself updated is sufficient to enter and grow in the industry.
Communication skills should also be strengthened.
