FBT Paid-Type of Payment selected SA Tax instead of Adv Tax

15 September 2008 Hi,
One of our client had made FBT Advance Tax payment (E Payment)for Assessment Year 2009-10 (II Qtr). While making the payment, by mistake Type of Payment had been selected Self Assessment Tax (300) instead of Advance Tax (100) & Bank had debited the same amt for Payment.
Pls suggest is there any option to rectify the same & whether it would be allowed as FBT Advance Tax payment for AY 09-10?.

15 September 2008 It will be treated as self assessment tax only as because the code mentioned in challan relates to self asseeement tax and the same is likely to be credited by bank to the deptt. stating self assessment tax.
