If a company incurrs expenses (liable to FBT such as telephone, conveyence, etc) for the clients, is the company liable to pay such FBT?

Yes, the Company is liable for FBT as per 1st item under caption "Specific Cases" in Article available in http://www.icai.org/resource_file/9799Girish.pdf
