11 October 2011 Hi,
Please note LUT and SRP is different concept.
Normally, export will not necessary to pay the excise duty on removal subject to execution of bond or letter of undertakings. This is irrespective export made under any scheme or materials purchased for intended for export also.
SRP means Self removal procedure.
It is based on scheme of benefits availed on the exports. For example, availing specific rate of duty drawback on exports, means should inspect by the excise authorities or physically examined by the customs authorities is required. If excise officer not inspected; it should be done by the customs officer, to avoid the packing condition and shape, normally the inspection of goods by excise officer will opt by the manufacturer. Please refer more details on Chapter 7 of CEBC manual.
Examination of sealing of the goods is purely optional of the manufacturer exporter (refer circular no.:736/52/2003-CE dated 11.08.2003) This situation is applicable for normal exports i.e. without availing any export benefits scheme such as DEEC/DEEB or drawback etc.,

Regards,
CS Venkatesh.

12 October 2011 We can opt for SRP but it will be open and inspected by the customs authorities for validation. Now the choice is our option; if you need to inspect at factory premises call the excise officer for sealing or if you are decide to inspect by customs authorities, reove under SRP, inspection will done at customs premises.

12 October 2011 Sir,actually we are very much open for opting of SRP but some of our senior person told me that we cannot opt for SRP if we are taking benefit under DEPB/DEEC.
So can we go for SRP process?

08 November 2011 AGREED AND THANKFUL TO MR. VENKTESH JI.
