if a kalyana mandap collects electricity charges from its customers and pays the same to the Electricity board, liable to include the same in its gross receipts and pay Service tax on it. please suggest answers with latest circulars/notification.

Electricity is often considered an essential service necessary for daily living, industrial production, and commercial activities. Governments may choose not to burden consumers directly with additional taxes on essential utilities to ensure affordability and access for all sectors of society.
