Exemption for CA in CWA

This query is : Resolved

19 June 2011 Dear All

I am a Chartered Accountant, want to join CWA. Can I claim exemption in any subject on the basis of CA or M Com? Normally in CWA exemption is allowed only for CS passed student. However some of my friends are of opinion that ICWAI give exemption in some papers if we request to do so. Please guide me if anybody has idea about this.

Thanks & Regards
Shripal

19 June 2011 ICWAI gives exemption to CS students only, and hence no exemption available if you are a CA or Post Graduate

19 June 2011 Dear Harish

Thanks for reply. I know as per normal rules of ICWAI they don't give exemption to CA or post graduate. But I wanted to know if anyone has personal experience of having got exemption on special request to ICWAI.

Thanks & Regards
Shripal

20 June 2011 when they don't allow this officially,
than fancying chances to get by special request is a mere dream,
any way, i will suggest you to PM certain CWA's in this club, bCoz they might help you in this regard.
best of luck
