09 June 2012 In case of excise registration of a new firm which is not having any bank a/c can we use saving a/c no and details of partner while filing aces form on site or only current a/c no is to be provided?

09 June 2012 It is up to the bank to accept the transactions of the firm. There is no objection from the Central Excise department.

09 June 2012 if you are opearating as a firm you should have a current account.

bank account details asre beig asked to confirm authenticity of company/directors /partners.

As a firm if you are registered with any govt authority you can submit this details

saving ac will serve purpose of the individual purson for address proof.

Dept. can not not hold issue of C.Excise Regn. for such reason but there may be delay.

22 July 2012 Apart from operating current account of the firm, for e-payment, only prescribed banks are allowed to operate.

The individual partner's savings account cannot be operated for excise purpose, in my opinion.
