Excise refundable to exporter

04 June 2009 Is Central Excise refundable to Merchant Exporter? If refundable what is the procedure? or if not is there any procedure by which we can produce a certificate and our supplier will not levy and excise?

We are Merchant Exporter, our suppllier charged us for sewing and filling cushion covers.

19 June 2009 1. you may purchase foods without payment of duty from local manufacturers by giving CT-1, for this a bond have to be executed with the central excise and you will get CT-1.

2. You can also apply for refund of duty paid.
