IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE MISSING NUMBER IN A SERIES, WHEREBY IN A SERIES THE NORMAL SERIAL NUMBERS ARE THERE BUT SCATTERED. SO I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE ANY NUMBER WHICH IS MISSING IN BETWEEN...
SUPPOSE IN A EXCEL SHEET THERE IS A COLUMN WITH NUMBERS BEGINNING FROM 2401 TILL 3000, NOW THE NUMBERS ARE NOT IN A PERFECT ORDER BUT ALMOST ALL NUMBERS PRESENT, HOW TO DETECT THE MISSING NUMBER?
PLEASE SUGGEST ME ANY EXCEL TOOL TO DETECT THIS.....

Suppose data is in col A, then Sort column A in ascending order, in cell b2, put formula =A2-A1 & drag down till end,

If value of any cell in col B is more than 1 then it is missing no.
