23 October 2012 i have a data in excel i want to filter only email id form the sentence.

E.g

please send me a resume on my id i.e. satendrasat@gmail.com

if the above sentence is in excel cell...

how do i find only this id....?and paste in another cell

23 October 2012 Go the the cell which is contain the matter required by you and then convert the cell in editing mode(i.e press f2 button) and then select the matter what you want to copy and paste by pressing shift and drag arrow(press cursor moving arrow) through the matter you required to copy and paste and then use the copy option and then came out from such cell by press enter key or by clicking at another place and then go to the cell where you want to paste the copied matter and then use the paste option:

For your case:

Go and select the cell matter contained "please send me a resume on my id i.e. satendrasat@gmail.com" and then press f2 now move the cursor before to the words 'satendrasat@gmail.com' now press the shift key and then move the right arrow through the out the word ' satendrasat@gmail.com' now use the copy option at the main toolbar or press "ctrl+c" and then press enter and go to the cell where you want to repeat the matter and then use the past option at the main toolbar or press "ctrl+v) now you required date would be pasted.

11 April 2013 Sir, i have one lakhs data ... so i have to edit each and every cell of data,,,
but i need formula which can copy the email id and past to another cell

11 April 2013 I think there is no formula for your requirement. The only way is that said way i told you. Better to contact any excel expert for this he may suggest you any other formula or procedure etc.... However i will also try and inform you when ever i get that simple way.

YOU CAN SELECT THE ENTIRE COLUMN WHERE THE DATA IS AVAILABLE. THEN GO TO "TEXT TO COLUMN" OPTION FROM DATA MENU OF RIBBON TAB. LET THE SELECTION ON "DELIMITED"---> CLICK NEXT--->SELECT "SPACE" OPTION INSTEAD OF "TAB"--->FINISH.

NOW CHECK YOUR DATA . WHOLE SENTENCE WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO MULTIPLE CELLS . A PARTICULAR CELL WILL BE CONTAINING EMAIL ID. NOW YOU CAN APPLY FILTER AND COPY THE SAME.
