A person have exercise the stock option scheme and he is resigning from the Company. He want to hold that stock option whether he can do so or he must sell the ESOP to the Company

depends on the terms of the ESOP. Generally the options expire at the time of resignation unless provided in the terms of the ESOP to the contrary.
