11 September 2012 i got a cheque from income tax in that name is wrongly spelled should i file one more return or write a letter to income tax dep or any other?

12 September 2012 If there is only a minor error in spelling deposit the cheque in the bank. Most probably it will get cleared.

So first deposit the cheque. If it is not accepted by the bank then go to the department.
