In a mfg co., salary/wages are paid to 20 workers. It has also 15 workers through a contractor. i.e. the co. pays salary/wages to the contractor and he in turn pays to the workers. My query is whether EPF and ESI applies to the co. or not??? Whether the total no. of workers are counted or only the workers to whom salary is paid directly by the company is paid??? Please ans. as it is very urgent. Thanx.
