2. Our vendor - supplier proforma invoice .
Kindly advise

06 July 2024 When applying for an EPCG (Export Promotion Capital Goods) license with the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade), typically you need to submit a proforma invoice as part of your application process. Here’s how you should approach it:

1. **Vendor's Proforma Invoice**: Generally, you should submit the proforma invoice received from your vendor who is supplying the capital goods or machinery. This invoice should detail:
- Description of the goods being imported.
- Quantity and unit price.
- Total value of the goods.
- Terms of sale (Incoterms, payment terms, etc.).
- Other relevant details such as packing, shipping, and delivery terms.

2. **Vendor-Supplier Proforma Invoice**: If your vendor is sourcing the goods from another supplier (third-party supplier), you may need to submit the proforma invoice issued by this supplier as well. This invoice would include similar details regarding the goods and terms of sale.

### Guidelines for Submission:
- **Accuracy**: Ensure that the proforma invoice(s) you submit accurately reflect the goods being imported, their value, and the terms of the transaction.

- **Consistency**: The information provided in the proforma invoice should align with the details provided in your EPCG license application and other supporting documents.

- **Verification**: DGFT may verify the authenticity of the proforma invoice(s) and may request additional documentation if necessary to validate the transaction.

### Additional Considerations:
- **Multiple Suppliers**: If the capital goods or machinery are sourced from multiple suppliers, you may need to submit proforma invoices from each supplier involved in the transaction.

- **Currency**: Ensure that the currency mentioned in the proforma invoice is consistent with the currency specified in your application and any subsequent documents.

By adhering to these guidelines and providing accurate and complete proforma invoices from your vendor(s) and supplier(s), you can facilitate a smooth processing of your EPCG license application with DGFT. If in doubt, consulting with a trade consultant or legal expert specializing in DGFT matters can provide further clarity and assistance tailored to your specific situation.
