To calculate your total excess leaves and the final completion date of your articleship, follow these steps:
1. **Calculate Excess Leaves Under First Principal:** - Leaves allowed: 32 - Total leaves under the first principal: 272 - Excess leaves under the first principal: 272 - 32 = 240 days
2. **Transfer to Second Principal:** - You transferred to the second principal after completing some part of your articleship under the first principal.
3. **Serve Excess Leaves Under Second Principal:** - When you transferred to the second principal, you carried over the excess leaves from the first principal. Typically, these excess leaves need to be served under the second principal as well.
4. **Calculate Total Excess Leaves:** - Add the excess leaves from the first principal to any additional leaves accrued under the second principal.
**Determine Articleship Completion Date:** - The completion date of your articleship will be calculated by adding the initial period served under the first principal and the excess period served under both principals.
**Eligibility for May 2023 Attempt:** - To determine your eligibility to attempt the exams in May 2023, ensure that your articleship completion date allows you to sit for the exams as per the CA regulations. Typically, there is a specified period of articleship required to be eligible for attempting exams.
Since you've provided specific dates and periods, it's advisable to review these calculations with your articleship supervisor or a mentor at your CA firm. They can help confirm the exact completion date and your eligibility for the May 2023 attempt based on your articleship duration.
