15 May 2010 what is the procedure for online service tax registration.What supporting are required along with the filing of the form.?

16 May 2010 Dear Agrawal,

visit www.aces.gov.in.

register your e-mail id.
you wil get the user id & p.w thru e-mail
log in and go for st1 (registration application)
give all the customer details, address, PAN details, company details, nature of company, service catagory, select local service tax office details etc.

after sometime (immediately or couple of days) you will get the ST1 acknowledgement copy.

generate the copy and take print, enclose the below mentioned documents and submit to the service tax department.
1. company address and id proof
2. partners or directors id and add proof
3. rental agreement or lease agreement
4. company registration copy (if any)
5. company pan copy.

get the acknowledgement from the department.

after 7 days from the submission you will get the ST2 registration certificate to your e-mail id.

take print and contact your service tax officer and get the signatory in the certificate. thats all.

if you not get, please contact the local office only.

this required document will be differed depend on the company status.
