For a unit under EPCG are there any concessions available for the excise duty on the indigenous capital goods. If not the duty paid can be availed as CENVAT credit.

25 May 2009 Central excise duty/ addtional duty of cusotms (equivalent to Central Excise duty CVD) or Special additional duty ( 4% ) eligible as credit for manufacturers.

For Service providers the 4% credit would not be available.
