04 August 2010 Is it required to publish a advertisement in newspaper regarding loss of share certificates before issuing duplicate shares in case of shares having less than market value Rs. 10,000.

If so, please also refer to respective guidelines/clauses.

26 August 2010 Yes it is very much advisable to publish a advertisement in newspaper regarding loss of share certificates before issuing duplicate shares irrespective of the value of shares.

However you may skip the route for a small company.
