Actually i am working in the State Govt of Andhra Pradesh as a sr.acct

we deduct the tax from the pensioners monthly and the same will be remitted to through bank with in a month.

Now i want to know the due dates for remittance of cheques in the bank and under which rule we are remitting the cheques.
kindly give me reply..

03 February 2012 The TDS deducted in the month should be deposited in relevant account within 7th day of next month. If you pay after the 7th day of next month interest at the rate of 1% per month is applicable.
