If assessee paid down payment to builder for house construction of rs 100000/- as a cash...IS this assessee eliglibe to get deduction under section 80 C?

06 April 2011 Only repayment of principal amount of loan for purchase of house is eligible for deduction u/s 80C. So not eligible.
