is company liable to pay dividend distribution tax on issue of bonus share and stock dividend? if not then is share holder is liable to pay tax on the same?

dividend distribution tax is payable for payment of dividend and not issuing the bonus sahres etc., when company pays dividend then it has to pay the dividend tax.
