Difference between wtd and director, who is in employment

02 February 2012 Dear Sir,
Please solve the problem that what is difference between WTD and a director who is in whole time employment in the company in which he is director.

Please throw the light on it and indicate the relevant provisions in this regard.

02 February 2012 There is no difference between WTD & Director in whole time employment.

Section 269 provides that 'Whole-time director'includes a director in the whole-time employment of the company.

It has been held by the Bombay High Court that the expression "whole-time director" must refer to a director who spends his whole-time in the management of the company.
