My CA has added DTA in my companies balance sheet. Can any one explain the concept of DTA/DTL, why is it calculated and how to calculate DTA/DTL

DTA/DTL concept has its origins beyond the Indian shores. The purpose is to let the stakeholder to know the effect of "timing differences" on the provision for tax liability,if the provision is excessive u will have DTA and vise versa for DTL.Pl refer to AS22 issued by ICAI.
