Deferred Duty Payment/ ICE Gate Registration

This query is : Resolved

15 April 2021 I have a DSC Class3, authorisation letter from company, a valid adhaar card. Now how to register with ICE gate to avail deferred duty payment. I am struck up at IEC holder/ IEC Authorised person, as system is asking for Licence.

06 July 2024 To register with ICEGATE for availing deferred duty payment, you need to follow these steps:

**Visit the ICEGATE Portal**: Go to the ICEGATE website at https://www.icegate.gov.in/.

**Login or Register**: If you are a new user, register on the ICEGATE portal. Use your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Class 3 to authenticate and login to the portal.

**Navigate to Registration**: Once logged in, navigate to the "Registration" section. Look for options related to "Deferred Duty Payment."

**Fill in Details**: Provide all required details during registration. You will need to fill in information such as your Importer Exporter Code (IEC), contact details, address, etc.

**Upload Documents**: Upload necessary documents such as your DSC Class 3, authorization letter from the company (if applicable), Aadhaar card (for identification), and any other documents specified during the registration process.

**Submit Application**: Submit your application for registration. Ensure all information provided is accurate and matches the details in your documents.

**Approval Process**: The application will undergo a verification process by the ICEGATE authorities. They may verify the authenticity of your documents and details provided.

**Receive Login Credentials**: Once approved, you will receive login credentials which you can use to access the deferred duty payment facility on ICEGATE.

**Login and Start Using**: Login to ICEGATE using your credentials and start availing the deferred duty payment facility as per the guidelines and procedures provided.

If the system is asking for "Licence" under IEC holder/IEC Authorized person, ensure that you have your Importer Exporter Code (IEC) handy. The IEC is a 10-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. You will need this code to proceed with the registration.

If you encounter specific issues or errors during registration, it might be helpful to contact the ICEGATE helpdesk or support for assistance. They can provide guidance based on the system's requirements and help you complete the registration process successfully.
