Respected Sir,

Please refer Section 14 A read with Rule 8 D under Income Tax Act--

Whether deemed Income is taxable or not under above Section.

Kindly Advice for the same.

01 November 2010 The section disallows expenses which have been incurred for earning exempt income. So if expenses are disallowed then the same will be taxable in the hands of the assessee.
