Deduction u/s 80E for studies in abroad

I have borrowed an educational loan for my son's higher studies in abroad from a nationalised bank. Whether studies in abroad will be eligible for claiming interest u/s 80E? Or is that necessary that higher studies must be only in India?

You are eligible for 80E deduction, It is allowed in case of study in abroad.
