13 February 2010 If a husband pays PPF on behalf of spouse can he claim deduction u/s80C? and
If a HUF pays PPF on behalf of karta can claim deduction u/s80C?

13 February 2010 Yes, in case of individual, PPF can be deposited in individual account, wife account and children account.

HUF can pay in any account in the name of its members (Refer 80C(v) read with 80C(4).
